Ingredients
  • 250g chopped dates
  • 2 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 cup or 200g Natvia
  • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
  1. Pre heat oven to 165 degrees.
  2. Place muffin cases in a muffin pan.
  3. Place dates into water and bring to boil. Add bicarbonate of soda and butter and stir. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl and add the walnuts, Natvia and egg, then mix in the date mixture.
  4. Fill each muffin case to 2/3 full and bake for 15-18 minutes. Cool and serve.
Notes
Tips and Tricks
If you are after a healthy treat use wholemeal flour and mix with bran or use gluten free flour (if you require).
Depending on your taste you can increase or decrease quantity of Natvia.
