Bhuna Gosht is a traditional Indian recipe made with lamb. It consists of pan fried meat with spices. The meat cooks in its own juices, which is what gives the deep flavour.

Ingredients
- 1kg mutton
- 1kg onions, chopped
- 4 tbsp of mustard oil
- 2 tsp of red chilli powder
- 1 tsp of garam masala
- Salt as per taste
- 4 tbsp of garlic-ginger paste
- 10-12 green cardamoms
- 10-15 cloves
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- 3-4 black cardamom
- 2-3 bay leaves
- 2 tsp of dhaniya powder (coriander powder)
- 2 tsp of jeera powder (cumin seed powder)
- ½ kg of tomatoes, pureed
- 200g of fresh yogurts
- Few coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions
- In a heated pan, add in oil along with all the whole spices and chopped onion. Mix and let it cook.
- Add in the meat along with the ginger & garlic paste and mix again.
- Pour in the tomato puree and let this cook for a while.
- Add in the powdered spices and salt and mix well.
- Garnish and serve.
