Ingredients:
  • 2 cups steamed basmati rice
  • 1/4 cup peas, boiled
  • 1/4 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup cabbage, diced
  • ¼ cup chopped green capsicum
  • ¼ cup paneer diced
For masala
  • 100 gms butter
  • 200 gms finely chopped onions
  • 100 gms finely chopped tomato
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • 2 nos green chilies
  • 4 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Haldi
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Cheese cubes for garnish
Directions:
  1. Heat a saucepan, add water, salt and let it boil for few minutes.
  2. Wash and soak rice for few minutes.
  3. Add basmati rice to the saucepan and let it cook for few minutes.
  4. Drain off the water and keep it aside. Now, heat butter in a pan, add asafoetida, cumin seeds, onion and saute it well.
  5. Then add chopped vegetables and salt.
  6. Close the lid and let the vegetables cook for 3 – 4 minutes.
  7. Add garam masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder and dry mango powder.
  8. Mix it well, add cooked basmati rice and coriander leaves.
  9. Toss the rice with the masala mixture and close the lid your Tawa Pulao is ready to serve.
  10. Top the pulao with paneer and cheese cubes.
