Ingredients
  • 1 cup tur dal cooked
  • Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
  • Chilli powder: A pinch
  • Garam masala: A pinch
  • 2 Green chillies
  • Ginger grated 1tsp
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • Mustard seed: 1 teaspoon
  • Hing: A pinch
  • Curry leaves
  • Jeera
  • Ghee
  • Sugar
Instructions
  1. Pressure cook tur dal adding turmeric and salt to taste.
  2. Take a saucepan, add cooked dal, water, ginger, tomato, green chilli.
  3. Mix it together and close the lid.
  4. Let it cook for few minutes.
  5. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and sugar.
For tempering
  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing.
  2. Add the tempering to the dal mixture.
  3. Your sweet & spicy amti is ready to serve.
